Got a chance to go on the peak tram up to victoria peak. Used my panorama thingy to take this pic. Any good?

Look familiar?

No i'm not in france.. This is a place in shenzhen called window of the world. It's basically got miniature versions of world landmarks. They've got a 180m high eiffel tower! Went to the top.

Strange things happened. About 10 different couples/families came up to me to have they're pictures taken with me! Crazy chinese people...

A day in the life of a lobster.. (Not suitable for vegetarians..)

So when we arrived at this restaurant in downtown shenzhen, we walked over to the aquarium area, and chose ourselves a lobster, it got gutted out (alive) and served chilled as above. It was still moving slowly on the table! It was then taking away to be cooked with rice.. Weird..

I was pleasantly surprised to see so much green in the middle of a city that grew from 2 million people to 8 million in 3 years.. We walked around the shops after dinner tonight, which was a terrible idea, as it was still 35 degress celsius in pitch black - sticky!!

Black Toilet??

Has anyone ever seen a black toilet? I just have - in some bathroom in mainland China. Is it odd that I find this intriguing?? Maybe I'm going crazy..

And no, it's not cos I'm black..

I tried to use the panorama feature on my phone whilst on the 44th floor of the cucumber building in HK. This is what I got. I think it's impressive, but then I am biased..

This room is rather large. The TV channels are all in Chinese though, which is a bugger, though not a surprise.. Looks like it's back to work for me!

A hong kong welcome

Apparently today's fireworks are part of a few days of celebrations. Something to do with china now ruling. Ironic, considering 500,000 hong kong residents protested against some new chinese rules they tried to introduce, to do with privacy..

Just got to my room in the hotel in hong kong. Beautiful. Fairly wet and overcast but still extremely hot! At 7am it was already 30 celsius!
